Oni Vector

This is a man who was an unfortunate visitor to a remote Japanese Island and ended up becoming an Oni, a mutated creature written about in Japanese folklore. He's not the only visitor to have suffered this fate, the Island he visited is populated by such creatures forgotten about by many except those humans on nearby Islands who live a primative life and worship these creatures out of fear.

Mystery surrounds the curse of the Island and why it is exists because every person that has gone to investigate has either perished or become like the other mutated inhabitants who live there. Those who live on nearby Islands prefer not to speak about the reasons behind the curse out of fear for themselves and those whom they tell lest they suffer the same fate or incur the wrath of the creatures.

I was originally inspired to do this by some concept art and I used a photo reference to guide myself along with making this.
